Hunza is probably Pakistan’s most visited valley by the tourists. It is a fairy tale land surrounded by beautiful rugged & snowcapped mountains. Only at 100 Kms. from Gilgit Hunza is a small town on Karakorum Highway. At the altitude of 7000 -8000 feet it is the first main town if you are entering Pakistan from China.

Surrounded by Mountains known to be the highest and mightiest around the world, this region is the home of K-2 (2nd highest peak in the world) and 5 of the World’s top 15 Mountains with over 8000 ft. height and over 50 mountains 7000 ft. and above. It is here that the world’s three famous mountain ranges meet -the Himalayas, the Karakorum’s and the Hindukush. This valley also hosts the great Pamir Plateau,” Bam-e-Dunya” (the roof of the world), an apex of six of the mightiest mountain ranges of the world.

The road to Gilgit is another adventure and beauty filled experience, The Karakorum Highway built Between 1966 to 1978 by the Chinese and Pakistani engineers, above the shoulders of gigantic mountains of Himalayas, Hindukush & Karakorum ranges. Its beauty and variation in terrain and culture can easily mesmerize you.

The peak tourist season is from May to mid-October nevertheless, tourists keep pouring in all year round. The maximum temperature in May is 33 C whereas the minimum goes down to 16 C, while in September, temperatures show a maximum 28 C and a minimum of 11 C. Such pleasant temperatures make Gilgit & Hunza a must-visit place all year long.

Itinerary

Day 1
Islamabad - Naran

10 pm from Islamabad Reach balakot 7 am Breakfast. Reach batakhundi Nara till 11 pm. 2 hours rest lunch break Explore Naran Bazaar Go for river rafting (self base) Back to hotel dinner.

Day 2
Naran - Naltar

7am Breakfast 8.30 departure from naran reach nomal stop at nangaparbat view point and tea breaks. Shift to jeeps and Move towards Nalter valley . Night stay bone fire Dinner

Day 3
Nalter Explore - Hunza

Wake up at 7 am 7.30 Breakfast visit snow leapord zoo. Visit nalter medows and jungle jeep safari towards blue lake . Satrangi lake nalter. Back to nomal and move towards hunza valley Short stay at rakaposhi world 22 highest mountain. Eat chapshoro famous hunza dish. Stay at hunza view karimabad

Day 4
Nagar Valley, Hunza Forts

4.30 wake up to visit duiker sunrise site back to hotel sleep and get ready for breakfast till10 am. visit of Altit fort ,visit khabasi cafe ,Gems shop , visit Atabad lake,boating at atabad ,passu cones ,gulmit village and river side of gulmit,old village ganish site seeing and lunch break at cafe de breeze Famous for Apricot cake oldest cafe of hunza. Music show at hotel Bar b q dinner

Day 5
Attabad Lake, Hopar Glacier, Khunjrab Pass

Early move out for khunjrab pass ,huseni bridge via sost border ,reach pak chiana border back to hotel on way Tea Break at Sost Border or Mokhsa resort. At sost you can have chinese dish as a snack. Reach karimabad later visit karimabad bazaar for walnut cake and coffe.

Day 6
Gilgit to Naran

After breakfast move towards naran valley stay at batakhundi or naran. Time to explore naran on self time explore areas.

Day 7
Naran to Islamabad

Naran to islamabad via visiting sights on way and dinner on way.
